Federal Network Agency approves time stamp service with new RSA 2048 key lengths in accordance with the signature law
First customers are using AuthentiDate’s accredited time stamp service for re-signing
Duesseldorf – AuthentiDate International AG accredited certification service provider by the Federal Network Agency, has already gone into service with time stamps with RSA 2048 key length.
AuthentiDate International AG is one of the first companies that are able to generate qualified time stamps according to the new signature law regulations. The time stamps are generated with the new RSA 2048 key lengths. The latter is mandatory for law conformable solutions.
The time stamps can also be used to re-sign already signed data. This way the legal certainty of already signed data remains after December, 31st 2007.
Moreover, AuthentiDate offers the so called “Re-Sign-Express” which is an easy possibility to re-sign data, for those who have to re-sign their data on short notice, by the end of the year. The Re-Sign-Express works independently on all existing IT-infrastructure, database and file systems. Any form of electronic data can get re-signed in accordance with the law regulations.
To be able to re-sign data, the latter will be centralized on an external hard drive and afterwards signed with the new key-lengths by AuthentiDate.
Please notice: It is not possible to re-sign any signed data after December, 31st 2007. To make sure that the signed data is in accordance with the current law it has to be re-signed by the end of the year.
In 2001, the AuthentiDate´s Trust Center was accredited - in accordance with the strict regulations of the German signature law of the Federal Network Agency - and since then has, continuously, been operating.
National and international customers have been using AuthentiDate products and services to optimize their business processes, since then.
The solution will be presented at the Enterprise-Signature-Day
