Germany’s largest event on „digital signatures“ demonstrated
practically tested, “hands-on” signature solutions
Duesseldorf (Germany) - Over 500 visitors learned about the theory and practice of “Digital Signatures in Business Processes” at the Enterprise Signature Day of 2006 in Duesseldorf. For the second time, the event was organized by AuthentiDate.
Visitors explained their high level of interest by referring to the practical relevance. Numerous companies reported on their experience in the integration of signature solutions in business processes. Over 30 exhibitors moreover gave live demonstrations of the use of signatures. The keynote speach was delivered by NRW’s Secretary of State for Trade & Industry, Christa Thoben.
Of particular interest were signature solutions that can be implemented easily, fast and without additional hardware, such as Smart Cards.
A new item presented was the “signamus” signature service (www.signamus.de), which allows electronic and signed invoices to be sent without the need for separate signature software.
Besides electronic invoicing, „Safe Documentation of Processes“ was also a topic of great interest. Experts explained how digital time stamps can be used to back up (e.g.) research & development data automatically, fast and in large volumes.
In addition, a demonstration was offered of the theory and practice of time stamps in preventing fraud in companies and in safely documenting processes, such as those related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
A special forum was devoted to the health insurance scheme sector. Here people could learn about new developments in ISKV 21_c and profit from the experience reported by numerous users of signature solutions.
