StreamServe and AuthentiDate are offering new universal solution for electronic invoices
- Expansion of market leadership in electronic billing

Duesseldorf, Hannover, - StreamServe, the worldwide supplier in business communications and output management (over 4,200 installations worldwide) and the signature specialist AuthentiDate have used their strategic partnership to create a joint solution in electronic billing under German VAT legislation (section 14 of the German VAT Act)
Their joint solution allows the sending of invoices in any format, complete with the legally required signatures. Suppliers and customers can now send and receive electronic invoices which can undergo further processing straight away, both in their own systems and in third-party systems. Thanks to a qualified integrated signature, no additional cost-intensive paper invoices are required. The solution is already being used by a major company in the chemical industry.
The universal usability of the new solution is ensured by a manufacturer-neutral modular design which allows connectivity to all the commercially available ERP, CRM and archiving systems.
A competitive edge through electronic billing
Electronic billing means enormous potential savings for virtually any company, so that this solution is also suitable for relatively small volumes of invoices. In such a case, only a certain proportion of all invoices is produced electronically by the AuthentiDate StreamServe solution and then signed and sent to the relevant recipient by e-mail or via a portal. The remaining invoices continue to be sent in paper form. This means that all companies can convert gradually from cost-intensive paper invoices to inexpensive electronic billing.

Compliance with legal requirements
With their solution, the two partners have successfully bundled the StreamServe Business Communication Platform and the AuthentiDate eBilling Signature Server. As a result, customers can now generate a variety of invoice formats, such as XML, iDoc, etc. and add the legally stipulated qualified signatures automatically and centrally, based on AuthentiDate mass signature technology. Under section 14 of the German VAT Act, it is possible to use signed electronic invoices for the deduction of VAT input tax, without the need for an additional paper invoice. Invoice recipients can process and verify electronic invoices fast and cost-effectively in their receiving systems, such as IBM, SAP or Oracle.
By combining their solutions, StreamServe and AuthentiDate can map the customer's entire billing process, i.e. from the creation of the invoice, through conversion, signing and sending, to the automatic verification of the signature by the invoice recipient.
