Document Management System Provider Circle Software integrates AuthentiDate Signature Technology as Standard Function
Digital Signatures and Time Stamps per EU Directives now available from AuthentiDate in the Benelux
Düsseldorf (Germany), Eindhoven (The Netherlands), - Circle Software, one of Holland's leading document management software manufacturers, has integrated the signature technology of specialist AuthentiDate. This full and complete integration is the result of a strategic partnership between both companies.
Now, Circle Software is capable of processing signed documents and automatically check signatures. In addition, data stored in Circle Software's document management software Verseon? and Document Manager, can automatically be joined with time stamps that meet the stringent conditions of the EU Signatures Directive and the German Signatures Act.
As off 2005, all Circle Software customers have access to this contemporary technology. Applications are ideal for companies who receive signed documents, such as dealing with electronically signed invoices, (internet) forms verifying document integrity or data with legal certainty using qualified time stamps.
Under the EU Invoicing Directive, electronic invoices are only recognized for input tax deductibility if they are provided with an electronic signature. Therefore, invoice recipients need solutions to check signatures on incoming electronic invoices as quickly as possible and without manual workload. By enriching Verseon and Document Manager with AuthentiDate signature technology, this is reality today. Incoming electronic invoices with signature formats, specified for invoices in Europe, can be stored in the system easily. AuthentiDate automatically checks the digital signature on the invoice. The result of the check is archived together with the invoice. By reducing manual workload when capturing the invoice as well as running paperless processes to check invoices, the recipient saves costs.
Additional clear relevance of the AuthentiDate and Circle Software partnership, is in the area of legal authorized long-term electronic archiving. Answering legal requirements such as the EU Signatures Directive and the German Signatures Act, electronic time stamped data will be 'frozen', stored and archived appropriately. Thus, applying AuthentiDate technology does not require any costly paper storage in order to receive a legal archived status. "When selecting a signature solution to enhance our Document Management and archiving System, there were three major criteria to be met. Firstly, we wanted to incorporate a solution that meets all the international requirements for electronic signature solutions. Secondly, it was crucial that a selected signature technology could be integrated seamlessly into our Document Management Software platforms. Finally, our customers should be able to switch to the new solution without effort.
