DocuWare is Integrating AuthentiDate Time Stamp Technology
Qualified time stamps from the AuthentiDate trust center will be available on a standard basis in DocuWare in the future
Düsseldorf, Germering (Germany) - DocuWare, one of the leading providers of document management solutions on a world-wide basis, will integrate the time stamp technology of the signature specialist AuthentiDate into its archiving system as a standard feature.
Users will be able to automatically access the AuthentiDate time stamp technology to validate their documents and data with the next DocuWare version.
AuthentiDate is a company accredited by the Regulatory Agency for Telecommunication and Postal Affairs (RegTP) and a specialist in the generation of time stamps. The company operates an official trust center for this under the strict supervision of the agency. In addition to that, AuthentiDate focuses on the development of process solutions based on qualified signatures.
With the AuthentiDate technology, DocuWare users are in a position to use qualified time stamps in accordance with the German Signature Act and the EU Signature Directive for long-term, legally sound electronic archiving. Consequently, cost-intensive, paper-based archiving of documents is no longer necessary. In addition, the costly use of WORMs in the administration can be replaced by alternative methods such as hard disk storage, for example, with the use of time stamps in accordance with the Signature Act.
Documents and data that have a qualified time stamp can be used in court just like a paper document as evidence against third parties because they have legal relevance.
